Privacy Policy
Effective June 23, 2026
Dark-inSights ("Dark-inSights," "we," "us," or "our") provides a modular business intelligence suite for service businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and to the dashboard tools we provide to subscribers.
1. Information We Collect
- Information you give us. When you request a demo or contact us, we collect your name, email, phone number, business name, and the details you choose to share about your business.
- Subscriber business data. When you use the suite, it processes the business information you put into it — such as pricing inputs, job records, schedules, subcontractor figures, and customer details you enter. This data belongs to you.
- Usage and device data. Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information (browser type, pages viewed, referring page) to keep the site working and secure.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to demo requests and provide the tools and support you sign up for.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the suite and website.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and service matters.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
3. Where Your Data Lives
Your information is stored on secure, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure. Depending on your plan, your business data may reside in your own account or in one we maintain on your behalf. We do not sell your business data, and we do not use it to train any general-purpose models.
4. We Don't Share Your Information
Plainly: we don't share your information. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data, and we never allow it to be scraped, mined, harvested, or used to train anyone's models. The only exceptions are the basics required to run the service for you — such as secure hosting and payment processing — and anything the law requires of us.
Anything we can see or access about your business is held in strict confidence, the way a professional adviser or attorney treats a client's information. Your data is yours, we keep it private, and we hold that commitment whether or not you are still a customer.
5. Data Security
We make a continuous effort to protect your information with all reasonable and available defenses against security threats. We keep multiple layers of protection and regular backups to guard against loss of information, and we will notify you of any material breach affecting your data where required by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our responsibility is to maintain these reasonable, industry-standard safeguards.
6. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal and accounting needs. You may ask us to delete data we hold about you, subject to those obligations.
7. Your Choices & Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of non-essential communications at any time. To make a request, contact us at the email below. We honor the privacy rights available to you under applicable law, including those of California residents.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
